Americano Scoring is a padel scoring app made in Wales. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR).
Who is responsible
Americano Scoring (americanoscoring.com) is the data controller for the accounts and leagues on this site. You can reach us at hello@americanoscoring.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
Account details: your display name, email address, optional phone number, and a profile photo if you upload one or sign in with Google.
League data: which leagues you belong to, your role, your roster name, and the scores of the sessions you play.
Consent records: whether you opted in to optional updates and phone contact, and when.
Technical data needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.
Why we use it and our legal basis
To run your account and your league (contract): sign-in, rosters, fixtures, scores and essential service emails.
To let your league organiser and fellow league members contact you (legitimate interests, and consent for phone/WhatsApp contact).
To send optional product updates (consent — you can withdraw it at any time in your account).
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
Who can see your data
Leagues are private. Only members of your league can see the roster, scores and contact details of that league.
The only public information is the top-10 leaderboards, which show a display name, league name, region and average points.
We use Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and Cloudflare (hosting) as processors. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Delete your account and your profile, memberships and roster entry are removed immediately; historic scores stay in the league without your contact details.
Leagues with no activity for 30 days are archived automatically and removed from public leaderboards.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
Use the Account & privacy page to change your contact preferences, download your data, or delete your account. For anything else, email hello@americanoscoring.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
Accounts are intended for people aged 13 or over. If a younger player is on a roster, they should be added as a guest name by their organiser rather than creating an account.
Cookies and local storage
We only use storage that is strictly necessary: a sign-in token so you stay logged in, and a small local setting that remembers your language and your current scorecard. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
